What is Influencer chat?
The Influencer chat application allows users to witness live conversations with influential members of the community.
For use with Live and Live DVR content, Influencer chat appears as an on-screen chat within one of DIVA's tabs. Influencer chat enables viewers to emoji-react to posts by influencers (athletes, celebrities, etc.), helping to boost engagement and enrich the playback experience.
Editorially driven by LiveLike, Influencer chat is supported on Android and iOS Native apps for mobile phones and tablets.
Messages from influencers display chronologically within the chat feed. Spoiler prevention and community integrity tools, including automated swear and abuse filters, are all taken care of by LiveLike.
If Live DVR users seek backward in the video stream with Influencer chat activated, spoiler-free mode, ensures users won’t receive any messages related to events ahead of time.
Does DIVA Player support Influencer chat in all views?
Currently, Influencer chat is not supported on the following DIVA features due to platform support and screen space restrictions:
- Modal
- Multi-view mode
- Highlight's mode
Is Influencer chat customizable?
Yes, to an extent.
If you're looking to make customizations, manage Influencer chat emoji-reactions, and implement branding changes, reach out directly to LiveLike.
How does Influencer chat display?
Influencer chat displays as a tab within DIVA Player - this looks different depending on the device in use. By default, the Influencer chat tab is labeled Chat, although this is configurable. The Chat tab is positioned after the Commentary tab (if configured).
At the beginning of a live stream, the chat feed is empty until an influencer posts a message. The Influencer chat display differs per platform; for more information on activating Influencer chat, chat mode, an empty chat feed, a populated chat feed, and emoji-reactions, select an option below:
Note: Influencer chat is available in portrait mode on mobile phones, while on tablet, it is available in landscape mode.
What are Native apps?
Native apps are applications built for a specific platform, in this case, Android and iOS, on mobile phones and tablets. Native app UX/UI may differ from Responsive sites.
