This article introduces DIVA's video quality selector.
Topics included here:
What is the video quality selector?
The video quality selector provides DIVA users with the flexibility and control to select the desired streaming quality on small screen devices, optimizing their viewing experience.
Whether at home or on-the-go, Responsive Web users can select the desired video quality based on available options, or opt for automatic selection depending on network conditions and user preferences.
If there's only one video stream quality available, the video quality selector icon is hidden.
Which platforms support the video quality selector?
The video quality selector is currently available on Responsive desktop, mobile, and tablet.
The example below shows the currently selected video quality. By default, this selection is labeled Auto (the optimized setting based on network conditions).
If available, the video quality selector displays further available quality options dependent on the video asset in a submenu.
Upon selecting an alternative video quality from the options, a tick icon displays alongside the chosen quality to indicate selection, and the video stream begins in the newly selected quality.
