What's new
Skip intervals
Easily and accurately skip intervals of content — think intros, episode recaps, starting credits (any part of a stream specified as an interval in the VideoMetaData).
Available for video-on-demand (VOD), when viewing skippable content, a button displays on screen. If selected, users jump directly to the main video; however, if the button isn't interacted with, it auto-hides providing extra screen space.
Easily configure skip button label copy and display time (5 seconds by default).

Resume point standardization
This release introduces standardized DIVA resume point functionality for AXIS solutions.
We have implemented a standardized feature for resume points in DIVA for AXIS solutions, ensuring smooth transfer of resume points between the two products as we further integrate DIVA Player with AXIS.
For example, a user starts watching a stream in DIVA Player and stops watching it halfway through. DIVA captures when playback stops and passes the information to AXIS. AXIS can then surface the part-watched stream in the Continue Watching row.
SSAI client-side beaconing for Harmonic AWS MediaTailor ads
DIVA now supports Server-side ad insertion (SSAI) with client-side beaconing, delivered by Harmonic and AWS MediaTailor.
The SSAI provider (Harmonic and AWS MediaTailor) uses the unique identifier to keep track of the user's playback session, while beacons are client-side notifications used to declare whether ads are partially or completely viewed.
This development allows the reporting of SSAI ads for regulatory requirements and business insight into advertising performance, ensuring the desired user experience.

SSAI client-side beaconing for Google ads PAL SDK
We've integrated DIVA with the Google Ads Programmatic Access Library (PAL) SDK, enabling client-side beaconing which is required when the Ad decision server is Google Ad Manager (GAM).
This feature complements Harmonic/AWS SSAI to provide feedback to client-side beaconing and improves the accuracy of tracking and validity of ad inventory.

IAB Open Measurement (OM) SDK plugin
DIVA now supports the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Open Measurement (OM) SDK.
This feature facilitates third-party audience viewability and the verification of ads served to web video and native app environments. The IAB OM SDK plugin achieves the IAB certification for Ads Measurement on your service and complements SSAI to provide feedback to client-side beaconing.

DIVA Back Office adapter improvements
In this release, the DIVA Back Office continues its evolution. It can now handle Server Side Ad Insertion (SSAI), delivering personalized and seamless adverts within video streams.
We've also built on the existing Back Office adapter to improve the quality and testability of DIVA Player and DIVA Back Office integration.

Google PAL SDK server-side tracking
Linked to the DIVA Back Office adapter improvements referenced above, we've integrated the Google PAL SDK into the DIVA player to also track server-side ad events, enhancing our analytics on ad performance and viewer interactions.
