What is video trimming?
Trimming videos within DIVA Back Office refers to specifying when the video starts (trim-in) and when the video ends (trim-out). This process tells the player when to start and end the stream without cutting the original video source.
Set video trim-in/trim-out values
To edit video information, enter the video detail view following these steps:
- In the Video Catalog, select the icon associated with the video you want to edit to enter video detail mode.
2. Select the video editor icon.
3. Select the edit trim-in icon.
4. To specify the trim-in value (start of clip), either pause the video at the required point in the stream or seek by dragging the playhead.
5. Select the sync icon to sync the trim-in value with the video.
6. Select the CONFIRM button to add the trim-in value to the video.
7. To specify the trim-out value (end of clip), select the edit trim-out icon.
8. Either pause the video at the required point in the stream or seek by dragging the playhead.
9. Select the sync icon to sync the trim-out value with the video.
10. Select the CONFIRM button to add the trim-out value to the video.
A timeline displays indicating where the trim-in and trim-out values sit within the full-length video. Trim-in and trim-out time values display at the bottom of the window.
