What is DIVA Player?
Our DIVA Video Player is a new front-end, streamlined, modern, customizable API-based SDK for new and existing clients supporting video, data, and rich user interactivity. Decoupling DIVA Player from DIVA Back Office, DIVA enables clients to integrate with their own choice of Online Video Platform (OVP).
💡 Visit DIVA's playback functionalities articles for more information.
DIVA Back Office integration
If you choose to use DIVA Back Office, we've made the integration and configuration process easier and more intuitive for client developers and operators. Check out our Getting started — DIVA Back Office article for more information. If you're looking to learn how DIVA Back Office features work, see our operator documentation.
Analytics
Track precise low-level performance metrics, e.g., the time taken for a video to start and the average bitrate across certain devices in a particular graphical location. DIVA provides a Media Analytics interface via a new Conviva plugin implementation, as well as an API layer allowing 3rd parties to integrate with custom Media Analytics providers without making technical changes to DIVA.

DIVA Player features
DIVA Player provides Playback features, Content discovery, Synchronization features, Integrations, Content protection, and Advertisements. Key features include real-time data visualization, interactive timeline, synchronized data overlays, fan engagement features, monetization support, multi-camera viewing, and 360° videos.
Image quality
We know the importance of image quality, and that's why DIVA Player supports the device's base video player. What exactly does this mean? Well, if the device in use supports HDR and or 4K, DIVA presents content in this format.
For further information on how DIVA handles image quality and information on how to enable HDR, read our High Dynamic Range (HDR) article.

DIVA Player AXIS compatibility
We've recently completed development work to bring the DIVA Player into the AXIS Ref Apps.
AXIS Ref Apps 6.11 clients can choose between the AXIS or DIVA video players. From AXIS Ref Apps 7.0, DIVA Player (version 5.8, without the End-of-Play experience) becomes the default video player for AXIS Ref Apps. From AXIS Ref Apps 7.1, AXIS clients will be able to fully leverage all DIVA Player features, including the End-of-Play experience.
