This article covers content recommendations in DIVA.
Topics covered here:
What are content recommendations?
DIVA can surface related and recommended content based on the current video loaded in the player. Recommendations can be populated using Video lists, or based on related content (by setting the related property).
Typical use cases include surfacing additional matches of the same team or league, or similar shows to the content in focus, guiding users on their onward journey.
DIVA's recommendations user experience and integration differ depending on the device in use.
For further platform-based information and examples, see the accordions below:
Content recommendations on small screens
Compatibility notes: DIVA on small screens supports content recommendations on Responsive web, and Native mobile and tablet.
For integration instructions, refer to DIVA's recommendations developer documentation.
Where can I find content recommendations?
On Responsive web and Native mobile and tablet (Android and iOS), content recommendations display in a video list and are available for user selection during End-of-Play mode.
Content recommendation video lists
If video lists have been configured with recommended content, on Native mobile devices, content automatically plays, whereas, on Responsive web, content automatically plays only if the browser permits auto-play.
If there is no user interaction for a set period of time, the first item on the list of recommended videos plays automatically. If auto-play is not supported, a thumbnail layer displays for users to initiate playback and unmute sound manually.
Content recommendations on big screens
Compatibility notes: DIVA on big screens supports content recommendations from release 5.3 onwards.
Where can I find content recommendations?
