This article introduces Live replay in DIVA.
What is Live replay?
Live replay enables users to enjoy a full video-on-demand (VOD) event without prematurely knowing the end result. DIVA prevents data and key moments from being displayed ahead of time, known as spoiling. With Live replay enabled, the timeline and commentary data are only displayed when the video reaches the specific time, or if the viewer fast forwards the video using the seek bar.
The Live replay feature providers four viewing options:
View | Description | Mobile/tablet | Web |
---|---|---|---|
Not spoiled | The Timeline and Commentary data are populated as the event unfolds. We refer to it as not spoiled. | ||
Highlights | The Timeline and Commentary data are populated for the entire event stream. We refer to it as spoiled where viewers are aware of key events before they take place. | ||
Chapter not spoiled | The Timeline and Commentary data are populated as the event Chapter unfolds (only available for web). | ||
Chapter and duration not spoiled | The Timeline and Commentary data are populated as the event Chapter unfolds. The duration of each Chapter is not disclosed (only available for web). |
