This article introduces alternate streams within DIVA.
What are alternate streams?
Alternate streams enable a unique viewing experience, giving audiences control over the angle of live and video-on-demand (VOD) content. Given the event is filmed on multiple cameras, audiences can switch between the available streams of the same event, viewing the same moment in time from various perspectives.
Alternate stream functionality is based on standard video lists. With alternate streams enabled, a video list displays allowing users to switch between different camera streams of the same event, e.g., "Match camera," "Tactical camera," "Coach camera," or "Player camera."
When switching between video streams, video continuity is preserved. For example, you're watching the "Match camera" and decide to switch streams to the "Player camera." Upon selecting the "Player camera" stream, video playback resumes from where the "Match camera" stream left off. Sit back and enjoy the same event from a different perspective.
