This article introduces live replay functionality within DIVA 4.9
What is live replay?
DIVA supports the ability to consume video-on-demand (VOD) content, giving users the option to consume a full event without knowing the result prematurely. This is to prevent event spoiling, meaning data and key events are displayed ahead of time.
With Live replay enabled, the timeline and commentary data are only displayed when the video reaches the specific time, or if the viewer fast forwards the video using the seek bar.
The Live replay feature providers four viewing options:
|View||Description||Mobile and tablet||Web|
|Not spoiled||The timeline and commentary data are populated as the event unfolds. We refer to it as not spoiled.|
|Highlights||The timeline and commentary data are populated for the entire event stream. We refer to it as spoiled where viewers are aware of key events before they take place.|
|Chapter not spoiled||The timeline and commentary data are populated as the event chapter unfolds (only available for web).|
|Chapter and duration not spoiled||The timeline and commentary data are populated as the event chapter unfolds. The duration of each chapter is not disclosed (only available for web).|
